Letter (ALS) dated April 3, 1862, Beaufort, South Carolina, and sent by Captain and Assistant Adjutant General Hazard Stevens of the 79th New York Highlanders to a Captain Elliot at Port Royal Ferry, containing a humorous account of the taking of Fort Floyd, a fort located near Port Royal Ferry, and a sarcastic account of the spoils obtained for the United States Government.
